'Gordon must suffer like my mother did'

"FREDERICK Gordon must be punished in the same way he hurt and humiliated my mom."

These were the words of the daughter of horror abuse survivor Avril Gordon.

"I know it's not right to think like that but I am a daughter. I am only human," a tearful Valerie Figueira- Shaw told the Port Elizabeth Regional Court yesterday.

The brunette looked straight ahead as she testified. She refused to look at Gordon, who was smiling at her from the dock.

Figueira-Shaw is Avril's daughter from a previous marriage.
