State turns up the heat in Killian's prosecution

THE state has appointed top counsel to prosecute the drunk driving case of senior public prosecutor Clive Killian.

Killian made a brief appearance in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court yesterday morning.

He was not given any preferential treatment.

Killian is in charge of the New Brighton, Gelvandale and St Albans courts and oversees the work of the state prosecutors.

He is also required to give legal advice to police detectives.
