SOUTH African celebrities were among the throngs of mourners who arrived at the Victoria Park Crematorium, in Port Elizabeth, for model and law graduate Reeva Steenkamp's funeral on Tuesday morning.

Francois Hougaard, Mario Ogle, DJ Fresh and Shashi Naidoo were among the mourners arriving at the Victoria Park Crematorium to show their respects for the slain model.

Meanwhile in Pretoria  paralympian Oscar Pistorius appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court for his official bail application.

Pistorius is charged with the murder of Steenkamp at his home in the early hours of St Valentine's Day last week.

A teary-eyed Pistorius watched while advocate Barry Roux countered the State's indication at his first appearance on Friday that it intended arguing that Steenkamp's death was pre-meditated murder.
