Her docking is part of an ambitious plan to bring more cruise ships to Port Elizabeth. Berth Nine was a hive of activity, with tourists leaving the vessel to take a trip into town and visitors to the ship arriving for a tour.
The massive luxury cruise liner has an impressive marble lobby and 13 decks, all named after well-known operas except for the "mini-golf deck”.
Guests can relax in several lounges, most named after famous Italian theatres, with the top decks providing a magnificent view.
The cruise liner employs several talented artists full-time to entertain guests at night – either on the piano or in the opulent theatre.
