MAY I through your newspaper bring to the public's attention that home affairs in Port Elizabeth is once again going to close the offices for immigrants to renew their work permits?
They said the same thing last year and then continued to keep the offices open, but they are now saying they will not be open for renewing work permits and that immigrants now have to go to Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg to renew their work permits.
How are the working class going to be able to afford to take time off from work, and still carry the burden of the costs to get to and from one of the three major cities to renew their work permits? Can we through your newspaper get some answers from the powers that be?
