St Thomas showcase excellent form

26 February 2013
ST Thomas registered an exciting six-run win over McLachlan in their schools cricket fixture at St Thomas at the weekend.

Although they totalled only 113 for nine in their innings, St Thomas showed excellent form with the ball as they dismissed McLachlan for 107 to win by just six runs.

Romario Baartman and Keeno Bamboo were the chief destroyers for St Thomas, each picking up four wickets.

Rico van der Merwe, who hit 33, and Jowayne Lindoor (23) tried hard with the bat for McLachlan but just could not manage to take them to victory.

The main contributor to St Thomas's total was Gerard Swart who hit a well-played 30, while Johan van der Mash shone with the ball for McLachlan, claiming four for 19.
