Books dumped in nature reserve

I AM so very, very angry. If there is one thing that drives me up the post, that is illegal dumping, especially in a nature reserve! So driving home along the road along the Maitland River, I saw this person dumping rubbish from his car into the reserve.

I flipped! I pulled over and confronted this man who was very apologetic and stated he did not know it was a problem.

Well, I made him pick it all up and put it back in his car. He was tossing Yellow Pages, new ones still in the plastic.

He said they were old, but if you looked at the date they were 2013/2014.

We told him to take it to the recycling place and that he could get money for it. Apparently that was also new to him.

So he picked them all up and he got quite "damaged" by the thorns. He was wearing a Yellow Pages top.

He said he was from Gauteng, which would explain why he had never heard of nature conservation, and that he was using his "uncle's" car. This was also very cagey as he went to great lengths not to use his boot and packed all the directories into his back seat. So what was in the boot?
