Another chance at a life

CONVICTED criminal Ashwell George has learnt the hard lessons – and that it is important to take advantage of the second chances life offers you.

George, 22, from ACVV Khayalethu Oliver House in Port Elizabeth, has been selected to represent South Africa at an international street soccer tournament to be held in Brazil next month.

"This is exciting and a once in a lifetime opportunity," George said.

He will be one of eight players representing South Africa in São Paulo during the week-long International Street Soccer friendly tournament.
