DA defectors take a chance on COPE

FED up with being ignored and disrespected, about 350 residents, who claim to be DA members from Port Elizabeth's northern areas, have defected to COPE.

The news comes as residents in some DA wards have become increasingly vocal about their dissatisfaction with their ward councillors.

Helenvale and Missionvale residents say their ward councillors – Nico du Plessis and Penny Naidoo – only give jobs and plots to DA members.
