NMMU A chase a big win tomorrow

01 March 2013
Neale Emslie

NMMU A, playing their final tennis fixture of the competition, will be chasing a big win over PE Club when they clash in the men's PE and District Premier A League at PE Club tomorrow.

The varsity side are involved in a close struggle for the title with their B side, who hold a slight edge going into the penultimate round of fixtures.

NMMU B, who have a bye tomorrow, lead their A side by just two points, but come up against Victoria Park in their final match on March 16 and will be favoured to collect a big haul of points.

With the Fisher brothers, Eric and David, spearheading their bid, you would fancy NMMU to get the better of PE Club, although it will not be plain sailing. In their clash against NMMU B, PE gave a good account of themselves and lost only 10-7. Their target will be to cause an upset tomorrow.

VP and Rhodes have been playing second fiddle to the other teams this season, with neither side having recorded a victory yet. They get the chance to rectify that tomorrow at VP.
