Jeffreys surfers make winning waves in Durban

JEFFREYS Bay surfers owned the podium at the Billabong Junior Series surfing competition presented by BOS in Durban at the weekend.

Six Jeffreys surfers finished among the top three a collective seven times at the event, the first in a series of four.

Dylan Lightfoot, 18, took top honours in the under-18 event and the under-20 division, despite being a wildcard entry in the latter. He pocketed R15 000 in winnings. The other five surfers who were among the top three in their respective categories were Emma Smith, Tahra Uren, Tim Baard, Jerry van Wyk and Kai Woolf.
