HAVE some compassion for the elderly. All pensioners have to re-register with Sassa to receive a state pension. This is quite traumatic for the elderly in that transport is an issue and numerous phone calls without success have to be made to find out what process to follow.
After my 85-year-old mother- in-law had given up I tried to follow the process to assist her. It was quite scary.
I got through on (043) 707-6300, was told to contact (041) 404-9723, that number said message box full, tried to re-dial the first number but the message box was also full. It is like going around in circles.
The elderly are very dependent on this income. Please help.
