Bring it on, say the Kings

SOUTHERN Kings lock Steven Sykes has warned reigning Super Rugby champions the Chiefs that his team will be "stepping it up" when the rivals clash in Port Elizabeth on Friday (7.10pm). The towering forward was speaking after his team slipped to 21-12 defeat to the Sharks at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday in front of a sellout 44000 crowd.

"Every week we are stepping it up and we are growing in confidence," Sykes said.

"The guys are playing for one another and that is the main thing. We believe in one another and we are working hard

"We are going to bring it on every week, the intensity will be there and so will we," Sykes promised.
