THE family of an Eastern Province woman rugby player who collapsed while playing a match in Middelburg on Saturday and died shortly afterwards are still struggling to come to terms with their tragic loss.

Genève Scholtz, 23, formerly represented Eastern Province and was also selected to the SA women's training squad in 2011. She was playing flank for the Middelburg Stormers against Kwaru when she collapsed on the field of play.
