THE EP men's and women's Weekend Leagues have drawn to a close except for the women's fourth league which still has two fixtures to play.
The men's first league went down to the wire, with the results of last Sunday's matches determining the winners. PEBC and The Woods finished on the same number of points but PE sneaked in by four shots.
The women's first league was not as close, with The Woods winning from last year's champions, Walmer Bowling Club by 5½ points.
THERE is Wednesday morning mixed bowls at Park Drive, tabs in 9am. Other Park Drive playing sessions are: Tuesday 2pm, Saturday 2pm, Sunday 9.15am, and public holidays 9am.
The Park Drive Saturday morning men's pairs will start on March 23. Contact Richard Shepheard on 082-979-3205 to confirm repeat entries or to enter new teams.
Due to the Easter weekend, the Park Drive 100 Club draw will take place on March 22 (6.30pm).
THE next round of the Barclays men's pairs will be played at Walmer Country Club on Saturday (9am).
THE winners of the King Cars Thursday morning men's pairs competition played on March 7 at Western Suburbs were Keith Varnfield and John Morgan.
WESTVIEW are hosting the Inter-District Tournament and so there will be no social bowls or cut-throat this week.
