Warriors aim for top spot

14 March 2013
Alvin Reeves

THE Chevrolet Warriors will approach tonight's Ram Slam T20 match against the Knights at Axxess St George's with a view to putting some distance between themselves and the chasing pack. As the competition approaches the business end, the Warriors find themselves in second place behind the Lions by nine points but with a game in hand.

With a maximum of five points on offer for a bonus point victory, the Warriors will know how important it is to get one over the Knights tonight (6pm).

A win would see them six points clear of the Titans, in third, and seven ahead of the Knights, in fourth. And with the Lions up next for the Eastern Cape franchise in their East London stronghold on Friday next week, the Warriors will be targeting top spot and a free pass into the final and Champions League.
