Top organist to play in Bay

THE Feather Market Organ Society presents a unique organ recital in the DR Church in Summerstrand tomorrow at 6pm.

Stellenbosch organist Winand Grundling will play his composition, The 14 Stations of the Cross. This is a mix of Bible stories and legends reflecting on Christ's suffering and death.

In addition to his fascinating improvisations, Grundling uses well-known chorales and other music.

Colour slides of the 14 paintings from St Richard's Church, West Sussex, by David O'Connell will be shown accompanied by the music.

This will be the first performance in Port Elizabeth of the composition. The concert is an hour long.

Admission is R30 and R25 for pensioners.
