CITY HALL PROTESTS

ANC Women's League threatens to burn down City Hall if Wayile's no longer mayor. Surely this threat constitutes a crime. We can't let these threats, and in some cases actions, go on any more. I agree it's ridiculous to appoint an 81-year-old mayor. He could consult. He may be wise, but we need strong action in this city. Someone like Graham Richards would be great mayoral material. But all violence and threats of violence must stop right now! We've had enough. We need to build the city, not destroy it.

JP

SOMEONE should tell the arrogant ANCWL, if they want to burn anything, try their own headquarters. City Hall belongs to the people of PE, not the ANC.

TH

ANC Women's League threats. Have they no shame? What a terrible example to their "youth".

JAY, PE

MAYOR Wayile has always been highly respected by all PE's people. The ANC's interfering and illogical decision-making aside, he deserves a hero's farewell and a big thank you for his grace and hard work.

DISILLUSIONED LIBERAL

At 81, I would want to be sitting back with my feet up, enjoying my retirement with those I love. Pressure and stress at that age is not what anyone can handle well.

GL

HA HA! Ben Fihla elected mayor in his 81st year. Think our city clowns are getting confused with the pope issue.

WHITE SMOKE

RUGBY BEHAVIOUR

WE ARE complaining about the booing and fighting from the Kings supporters. Well, this is what Cheeky Watson asked for. So the blame is at his doorstep. Will never support the Kings with him in charge.

TERRY

I THINK Mr Watson should define what he means by "hostility towards opposing teams".

NAPA

WHICH one is better? Violence or vuvuzelas? Kudos to soccer fans.

PHIL, PE

WAS forced away from NMB Stadium twice because of drunken "fans". I will never go back unless those pubs are closed down.

LEO

BURIAL SPACE

EVERY week, there are burials at Malabar Cemetery. It's bus loads from other areas. At the end of the day, Malabar residents must be cremated and ashes thrown in sea.

AL

PARALYMPIC ATHLETE

WELL done Shane Louw, who is going to try to compete in the 2016 Paralympic Games and the ATMC students who are helping him! You go, Shane.

LILLIAN

BRIDGE OF DEATH

SO many letters for and against cross. Would it not be better to use money to put a barrier along length of the bridge?

THELMA SMITH

VAN Stadens sign. Erect a sign that lists all the family left behind. They are the ones who suffer most. Would need to be a big sign.
