CUYLERVILLE and Manley Flats will contest the final of the Pineapple cricket tournament in Port Alfred tomorrow after winning well-contested semifinals yesterday.
In a thrilling encounter against Southwell, Cuylerville scraped home with one wicket to spare after they had dismissed their opponents for 185.
There were just three balls remaining in Cuylerville's 50 overs when they crossed the finish line.
Manley Flats had a slightly more comfortable victory, although Sidbury must have fancied their chances when they were set a target of 160 in their 50 overs. But Manley proved up to the task and dismissed the Sidbury line-up for 134.
Today is the penultimate day of matches, while Cuylerville and Manley will meet in the A Section final at the Port Alfred Country Club field tomorrow.
