Kings ready to take on Saru

THE national storm over the Southern Kings' decision to field three foreign players against the Chiefs in Port Elizabeth on Friday night is growing, with South African rugby bosses on a collision course with the franchise.

While Kings boss Cheeky Watson is adamant the Kings have not contravened any rules, SA Rugby (Saru) has said it will be seeking an explanation as to why the Kings exceeded the two-player limit on foreigners.

There has been speculation in some quarters that the Kings may be fined or even docked points for fielding more than the stipulated number of foreign players.
