Water supply to parts of Motherwell will be shut on Wednesday (20/03/2013) to construct a new connection, the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality said.
"In order to enhance the water supply to the Wells Estate area, it is necessary to construct a new connection to an existing pipe in Addo Road. In order to achieve this, it will be necessary to shutdown the supply to certain areas", the Municipality announced in a statement on Tuesday (19/03/2013).
The affected areas will include:
Ikamvelihle
Motherwell NU1
Motherwell NU2
The water will be shut from approximately 09:00am on Wednesday, 20 March 2013 and will be restored once the work has been completed. It is expected that the work will be completed by 17:00pm the same day.
Water tankers will be deployed in the areas and consumers are requested not to leave taps open as the water may be restored at any time.
