BAY Stars will be hoping to narrow the five- point gap on Safa Eastern Cape Second Division log-leaders Mthatha Bucks when they clash against neighbours Cacadu United in a league match at the Gelvandale Stadium tonight at 7pm. Second-placed Stars have 39 points from 16 games with one loss and have defeated United twice this season.
The home side thrashed United 9-0 in the Nedbank Cup Knockout Challenge group stages in November and defeated them 1-0 in the first-round of the league early this year.
Stars are unbeaten in three matches but will be missing their injured skipper Romane Scott as they contend with the relegation-threatened Alexandria side.
Meanwhile in the same league, Highbury meet Tornado in a match at the NMMU Second Avenue campus sportsfield on Sunday at 3pm.
A win against the East London outfit will see them jump from 11th place to ninth. – Mthetho Ndoni
