THE third week of the Nelson Mandela Bay Union Table Tennis Premier League proved just as competitive and exciting as in previous weeks.
The match between NMMU A TTC and Olympia TTC was a nail-biting affair and the scoreline read 5-5 at one stage, with the last doubles match scheduled as the decider.
It could have gone either way, but Monde Cola and Nceba Ngcingwane defeated Kurt Adams and Rajen Ryan 11-8 8-11 11-7 to give Olympia A the win.
Booysens Pride B struggled in their clash against Aryan A with Dipal Bhana, Rajesh Bhana and Neil Hendricks in fine, form winning all their matches for a 11-0 result. Manoj Raga, Ridaa Hendricks and Mike Vaghmaria were good for Aryan B, winning all their matches beating St Mark and St John 11-0.
In the first league, the match against new club Despatch ended in a win for Aryan C 10-1. Younus Choonara, Zeenal Bhana and Maurice Adams, in fine form, won all their matches.
In other matches, Prishen Ryan and Philo Moodaley were good for NMMU B, beating Malabar 8-3. Aryan D were no match for NMMU C, losing 9-2.
Next week's clash between Booysens Pride A and Olympia promises to be a thriller.
