JENNY Elliot said the land for the new Brylin school in Fairview was made available with the help of Pelrha, the organisation aiming to restore land to claimants who were forcibly removed from their land under apartheid's Group Areas Act ("School takes green step", August 14). Dicky Britton then proudly announced that 40 residential construction projects were on the go in Fairview.
Now I have to ask Britton, firstly, how come land was made available to a private school, when many land claimants had to settle for smaller plots and while many are still waiting for title deeds? Secondly, how much did the Elliots pay for the land and to whom?
