WHY are Cosatu presidents facing being fired when they implement the Cosatu constitution to reprimand Zwelinzima Vavi when he is alleged to have done wrong?
As I recollect, Willy Madisha was successfully ousted by calls from, and force used by, Vavi's friends in Cosatu affiliates for, among other matters, investigating the misuse of a Cosatu credit card by Vavi. Then there is the alleged (Blade) Nzimande incident involving money in a black bag.
Now, the same Vavi friends are calling for the head of (Cosatu president) Sdumo Dlamini, also for leading an inquiry into Vavi having transgressed the Cosatu constitution by admitting to having sex in an office with a junior he appointed questionably.
Isn't Vavi supposed to be investigated when there is a need?
Is Vavi above Cosatu or is Vavi Cosatu in its entirety? I'm confused.
There is a saying: "People can elect or appoint you to a position and when you correctly execute the mandate given but step on the wrong toes and you get pulled down by the same people who put you up there."
