IT looks like Nelson Mandela Bay Metro has a money tree somewhere.
First a golden handshake of R3.2-million and three days later, a pay hike for three guys who do not deserve half their current salaries!
Library staff were first promised a four-notch increase in 2000. This was signed off in July 2013, and was supposed to start in August 2013.
Nothing! There is no money!
Top ranks do what they want and break their promises to workers.
It looks to me as if they like it when people go on strike. The top management of NMB Metro only care for themselves and they say to hell with the workers and promises made to them. They also say to hell with ratepayers and the general public.
The gravy train rolls on in Port Elizabeth!
