ONLY organisations with clear and sustainable plans to reduce poverty and unemployment in Nelson Mandela Bay will benefit from a fund set up by billionaire Patrice Motsepe.
This is according to the city's Motsepe Foundation Development Forum secretary, Mongameli Peter, who was this week put in charge of managing the Bay body to dish out a slice of Motsepe's R500-million national donation.
Motsepe and his wife, Precious, announced in May that a R10-million investment would go towards alleviating poverty and unemployment in the city and Mthatha.
Peter was elected with a group of business and civil society leaders in the city to sift through proposals from organisations asking for funding and to recommend those with strong potential to the Motsepe Foundation.
