IT has been less than a week since a George teen- ager appeared on reality TV show SA's Got Talent, but already he is being noticed.
Juan Applegrein, 16, who goes by the name Johnny Apple, performed on the show last Thursday and has since been stopped by people in the Southern Cape town who ask for his autograph.
Apple, a Grade 10 Kingsley Private School pupil, received a standing ovation from the audience for his rendition of Adele's One and Only.
"It was so amazing to be able to be on stage in front of everyone. To get a standing ovation makes me feel appreciated. It has helped build up my confidence," he said.
His number one fan, mother Savannah, said she was still surprised by how well Apple had been received. In July, Apple won the overall teen singer award at the American Models and Talent for Christ [AMTC] competition in Orlando, Florida.
