ON Friday I noticed on entering the off-ramp to Cotswold Primary that the newly built wall on the road construction had partially been demolished. I said to myself surely the bricklayer was cross and had not been paid.
As from Monday all road works along Stanford Road and the off-ramps have stopped. The jolly flag wavers are nowhere to be seen.
Now I wonder how the road users have to travel on these unfinished roads. Did the money, the millions, allocated for these bus lanes, disappear?
Recently, the Herald reported on the abuse of these monies.
Where are we heading to in this new era? It seems those long empty buses will still circle around Brister House each day or until a strike stops them in their tracks.
