ARYAN A maintained their unbeaten record in the third round of the Nelson Mandela Bay table tennis premier league this week, comfortably defeating St Mark and St John 11-0.
Dipal Bhana, Ridaa Hendricks and Thiagasen Pather were all in top form when they achieved a clean sweep of their matches.
In the first league, there was a surprise result when Despatch defeated Malabar.
Julian Horne played a captain's hand for Despatch, winning all his matches.
He had an exciting game in a close win against Kanen Vandayar (11-6 11-9), helping Despatch to a 7-4 triumph. In another exciting match, Aryan C edged St Mark and St John B 7-4.
In the remaining match, Aryan D defeated NMMU D 11-0, with Daniel Ward, Mitesh Navsaria and Claud Lawack showing good form for the winners.
Next week's fixtures should feature an exciting clash when Aryan A take on Booysens Pride for the top spot in the premier league.
Aryans have lost three matches and Booysens two this season.
A win for Booysens would put them on top, but, if Aryan win, they will move ahead on points difference.
