TWO Port Elizabeth teenagers are living their dream after a chance invitation to an open soccer trial session secured them scholarships to an English football club.
It gives them a foot in the door of the international soccer careers they crave.
Siphosethu Dlakavu and Siyanda Ngqokoqwane, both 17, were selected at an open trial session with the Tshwane Highlanders Football Academy in Pretoria three months ago to finish their studies at Barking Football Club in Greater London.
Dlakavu and Ngqokoqwane, Grade 11 pupils at Alexander Road and Kabega Christian high schools respectively, played for Port Elizabeth club Highbury when they decided to try their luck at the open trials.
