I HAVE just read the very interesting letter regarding barking dogs ("Keep dogs occupied to stop the incessant barking", September 10). I live in a complex and we have the same problem, continuously barking dogs belonging to a certain resident.
I am not the only one who complains about these dogs.
I have approached the PE dog unit several times, as have other irritated residents. The dog unit did come, but the problem persists.
I eventually spoke to a Heine Witbooi, who informed me he had a verbal agreement with the chairman of the complex committee that all complaints must go through the chairman! In other words, the PE dog unit does not react.
I have never ever heard of such rubbish.
The unit's number is (041) 506-5232, but phone early as after 9am, you won't get an answer.
