The Radisson Blu hotel was voted the best in Port Elizabeth in a survey conducted by South Africa Travel Online, while Graaff-Reinet's Andries Stockenstrom Guest House made it to fifth place on the list of the top 10 guesthouses in South Africa.
Other top Eastern Cape accommodation spots included The Wild Coast Sun, voted the best hotel on the Wild Coast, and the Xanadu Guest Villa in Wilderness, ninth on the list of top guesthouses.

"This is fantastic news – we are having a good week. I have just launched my first cook book, Veld 2 Fork, and now this award ... We are not really big awards chasers, we just like to keep our guests happy."
The Radisson director of sales and marketing, Michelle Muller, said the hotel was extremely proud to have won the award. The SA Travel Online awards was a part of a countrywide survey of hotels and guesthouses, in which 1097 people voted.
The Hilton Durban won the South Africa's Favourite Hotel title and Dai Heka Guest House in The Strand was named Favourite Guest House.
