DAVID Livingstone High School in Schauderville, Port Elizabeth is celebrating heritage month by hosting a sport fun day on Saturday.
The Livvie Alumni Association, consisting of former pupils, together with the school governing body and staff are organising the event.
The event will kick off with a 5km family fun walk/run at the school in Kohlberg Street, at 8am.
Bernard Petersen, spokesman for the alumni, said: "This is the second consecutive year that this fun run is held. Loads of prizes and lucky draws will be up for grabs. The entry fee is R5."
The fun run will be followed by netball and rugby matches for the "wiser ladies and the wiser men".
"Old rugby rivals Paterson v Livingstone High will clash on the field. The highlight will be Glen Roses v St Marks RFC competing for the historic Schauder Cup," Petersen said.
For the youngsters there will be bike rides and entertainment by Genesix. Chezzy B will provide the music.
The celebration will finish the evening with an awards presentation at the Gemsa Hall in Korsten.
