FAST bowler Rikus Zaayman was very impressive as he starred for Framesby High School on their cricket tour in the Northern Cape.
"He got everyone talking about his consistent pace and control," one of the Framesby coaches, Konrad de Villiers, said.
Zaayman also contributed with the bat, playing some aggressive knocks with a top score of 46 against Diamantveld.
Diamantveld also had to face the music when Zaayman took eight wickets for six runs in five overs.
It was not his only impressive bowling display.
There was 3/17 in four against Vryburg, 2/27 in 10 against Noord- Kaap, 2/11 in 10 and 3/22 in 11 against Paarl Gymnasium. He also bagged 5/24 in 10 and 2/43 in 10 against Paarl Boys High.
He finished with overall figures of 24 for 150 in 62 overs over six matches.
Framesby were only beaten by Paarl Boys High on their excursion. They beat Diamantveld by 297 runs, Vryburg by 200 runs, Noord-Kaap by 131 and Paarl Gym by three wickets, and then again in a thriller by one wicket.
The loss against Paarl Boys was a close affair, with Framesby going down by 26 runs in the first match and then by four wickets in the second with just seven balls to spare.
