THE St Andrew's under-14A cricket team returned from their tour to Johannesburg in high spirits after learning some healthy lessons from their matches.
They had a polished start to the tour with good wins against Trinityhouse High and St Benedict's College.
They then rued their decision to put Waterkloof in to bat as their opponents went on to post a formidable 270 in their 50 overs.
Chasing down 270 was new territory for them and despite losing by 111 runs, they gained valuable insight into the requirements of chasing a large total. The team bounced back with another fine performance against the hard-hitting Helpmekaar XI, winning by five wickets.
