CHEVROLET Warriors head coach Piet Botha says the Chevrolet Warriors will be wanting to prove a point when the Momentum One-Day Cup swings into action on October 11.
One of the best exponents of limited overs cricket in the last decade or so, the Warriors finished last of the six franchises in the 2012-2013 season and Botha said the team are determined to set the record straight.
"I'm quite happy with the way the season is set up. It's nice to start with a good intense competition like the one-day cup," Botha said at press conference yesterday.
"We've got some things to prove there. It wasn't our best performance last year in terms of that competition. So the fact that we are starting with that first… everybody wants to kick off the season well. I think it's exciting that we start that first. The 20/20 has been moved forward so that will be a new challenge as well, straight after Christmas."
