THE EP Kings have named an unchanged starting lineup for their Currie Cup First Division semifinal against the Leopards at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Friday.
The only new faces are on the bench with hooker Bobby Dyer being drafted into the squad after injuries to Hannes Franklin (fracture under the eye) and Boetie Britz (slight concussion).
In another change Stefan Willemse moves onto the bench in the place of Thabo Majomela, but he will have to pass a fitness test on his knee before the game. If Willemse is not fit for the semifinal Kuselo Moyake will take his place.
"Stefan should be good to go, but we are just making sure his knee is fine," Kings coach David Maidza said.
Maidza said he did not feel his team had a point to prove after SA rugby chiefs voted not to allow the Kings into an enlarged eight-team Currie Cup Premier Division next season.
The Kings team: Scott van Breda, Brian Skosana, Ronnie Cooke, Tiger Mangweni, Michael Killian, George Whitehead, Dwayne Kelly, Lizo Gqoboko, Albe de Swardt, Charl du Plessis, Devin Oosthuizen, Steven Sykes, Darron Nell (capt), Mpho Mbiyozo, Tim Agaba. Replacements: Bobby Dyer, Ross Geldenhuys, Wayne van Heerden, Stefan Willemse/Kuselo Moyake, Kayle van Zyl, Ntabeni Dukisa, Wayne Stevens.
Friday's First Division semifinals: Pumas v South Western Districts Eagles (Nelspruit, 4.30pm). EP Kings v Leopards (Port Elizabeth, 7.10pm).
