THREE men who took part in a global lotto scam in which Port Elizabeth residents lost more than R100000, were yesterday each sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Dominique Nwafor, Henry Ohaeri and Frederick Umude, all in their 30s, were convicted on three counts of fraud in the Port Elizabeth Commercial Crimes Court on Tuesday.
The charges were yesterday taken together for purpose of sentence.
The men scammed three Port Elizabeth residents out of their hard- earned cash by convincing them that they had won the UK lottery.
