THE ANC in the Eastern Cape will today shed light on the political future of executive committee member Andile Lungisa, who is accused of fraud and laundering R2.5-million.
The charges relate to the R2,5 million paid by the Department of Arts and Culture for American star R Kelly to perform at the Nelson Mandela Sport and Culture Day in August.
Lungisa has denied any wrongdoing.
Lungisa and his co-accused – Ursula Sali, Xolisile Guqaza and Thabo Shogole – were nabbed by the Hawks on Friday. He was arrested and later released on bail.
