The case against Clayton Philander, the man accused of murdering a Despatch father in front of his wife and child, was postponed on Tuesday (08/10/13).
Philander briefly appeared in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Court but has chosen not to apply for bail.
In what police suspect was a botched burglary, Rocco Swanepoel, 38, was stabbed multiple times in the neck and upper body, alledgedly by Philander who climbed through a bathroom window and confronted him inside his Graham Bell Street home last month. Swanepoel's wife and her five-year-old son watched in horror as he bled to death.
