EASTERN Province find themselves on the road again, with another trip to Gauteng, but will be buoyant after an impressive start in their opening CSA Provincial three-day cricket match against North West last week.
Today, Colin Ackermann's men will be in Benoni for a three-day clash with Easterns, followed by Sunday's 50-overs encounter.
Although EP failed to pull off a victory over North West, they fulfilled most of the objectives they had set themselves.
Coach Chris Esau said one of their key areas was to introduce stability in the top-order batting.
It worked perfectly with Ackermann and David White hitting centuries on the way to a first innings total of 400.
Esau will be urging his men to emulate that performance this weekend, knowing that the journey for the three-day title is a marathon, not a sprint, with 13 matches to be played.
The squad is: Colin Ackermann, David White, Warren Bell, Lee-Roy Walters, Lionel Vaaltyn, Sisanda Magala, Akhona Kula, Solo Nqweni, Simthembiso Ndwandwa, Siviwe Gidana, Kelly Smuts, James Price, Anrich Nortje, Eddie Moore.
