IF a system seems to be working in one province, isn't it logical to use it in other provinces with the same problems?
When driving around in Johannesburg you see police vehicles possibly every 15 minutes, mainly because they permanently have their blue lights on. I feel that deters would-be traffic offenders from offending.
You think twice before driving drunk in Johannesburg compared to Port Elizabeth where you can drive around the whole day drunk without fear of being arrested or even stopped by police or traffic officials. Maybe if our police were instructed to do the same as they do in Johannesburg, it would make a big difference.
After all they lose nothing from driving around with blue lights on.
