CRICKET in the Eastern Cape finds itself in the spotlight again for all the wrong reasons. We must be careful or organised cricket will collapse if all parties are not on the same page.
People who will serve for all to benefit equally must be a priority. There can be no quarrels and agendas that will do harm to the sport as a whole.
We are on dangerous ground with people willing to derail the election process. We, the public, will be watching and hoping common ground can be found to move forward.
Now is the time to put Eastern Cape cricket on the map for all the right reasons. The rest of the country will be holding their breath as we strive to heal the wounds and make sound healthy cricket decisions on who the leadership should be.
At the end of the day it's all about who can heal the apparent rift and be bold enough in their quest to take us forward. Let's forget the past and personal issues and start afresh. It's either that or we run the risk of destroying the game beyond repair.
