REPLIES TO READERS' COMMENTS
DA, about the Sassa cards: why do they go and draw at the shops? My wife and I draw monthly at any bank at no bank costs.
AS far as I know, Sassa monies can be withdrawn from any ATM. Pin numbers were issued with the cards. Works for us!
"TOO little transformation": it's about time this country stopped looking at black or white and put the most deserving and qualified person in the position. It's not about colour, but about who can play the game the best. And you want to talk democracy!
C V D MESCHT
SO true, Spyro, the justice system in our country sucks. No wonder criminals have no fear of the law. Murderers get off lightly whereas softer crimes get harsher punishment.
WELL DONE TO JUNIOR KINGS TEAMS!
WELL done to the EP Kings under-21 and under-19 teams for winning last weekend. Please win your matches this week. We are proud of you guys for winning. Give it all you've got and thank the Lord every time you score points as without his help you won't win.

RIDICULOUS UNION DEMANDS
SAMWU demands on our metro are ridiculous. Enough is enough. Ratepayers, we need a rates boycott now.
GIVE RICHMOND HILL A BUS SERVICE
WARD 5: the party that provides Richmond Hill with a regular/daily public transport bus service (Algoa Bus Co) will get the vote! There is an existing yellow marked "B" bus route running through the suburb (connecting it with the CBD and Cape Road, Greenacres) but where are the buses? Bring the buses back and make public transport accessible to the pensioners, students, those going to work and back. They are a safer, affordable option and every suburb has a right to public transport.
WHAT'S HAPPENED TO CENTRE ISLAND?
WHAT is happening to the centre island in Cape Road? Blocks of concrete are missing. Just another example of decay and lack of maintenance in this city.
CONGRATS ON HERALD READERSHIP GROWTH
CONGRATS to The Herald on its readership growth. Not too long ago it was widely accused of being rather arrogantly aloof from and very critical of the community that it draws its advertising revenue from. But under the current editor it has certainly become one of us.
AMAZED AT EXCUSES RAISED IN COURT
JASON Wood: it amazes me, when people are caught for allegedly stealing, they are either mad or terminally ill.
NICKY Tait, Jason Wood is not doing upholstery at Woodies. He's using someone in Gelvandale. I know as my furniture was done there. The people there have all their own machines. He takes your lounge suite to them, never in Walmer. His state of mind is fine, he's using mental state as a excuse to get off. Where does he get money from for a private psychiatrist and lawyer?
GOOD LUCK TO JULIUS MALEMA'S EFF
CONGRATS and good luck to Julius Malema's EFF! May you indeed take 15% of the vote away from the ANC, to enable Agang and the Dreary Alternative to rule in a coalition.
THE media have all the TV air time and publicity for Malema. Why no time for all the crime, rapes and robberies in PE. Stop this cheap publicity. There is more important news than about Juju.
MALEMA'S new baby is born, a new Baby Huey. Put the nappy over his mouth.
HE doesn't have to smoke anything, Cher. Juju can't do simple arithmetic. If he did, he would be able to add up how many farmers and elderly people have been murdered post-1994. Then see who can be accused of genocide.
EXCELLENT COLUMN ON LANGUAGE
PIET Naude, your column on language for education is excellent. English is the practical route to take.
ENGLISH as the main language? Namibia has done it. It gives more people global opportunities. Or not?
