ON Monday September 30, my two dogs went missing from my home. The domestic worker had left three security gates open!
I was devastated as my dogs are not familiar with the roads and had always been accompanied if they went out. I started searching.
Costly ads were placed, vets and animal organisations contacted and visited.
After offering a reward, I received three calls that they had been seen in Kensington.
I arranged pedestrian searches and hired a taxi to comb the area, as I cannot drive. I had to stop the search as my finances were now exhausted. Desperately, I phoned Linda- Louise Swain from the Animal Anti-cruelty League for help.
Patsy Wagner responded immediately and on a Saturday afternoon spent more than 90 minutes scouring the area.
My dogs are still missing, but I wish to thank these two dedicated women. They are an inspiration of compassion and kindness.
To all at the Animal Anti-Cruelty League, I salute you.
