The match against Olympia was a nailbiting affair, with the score deadlocked at 5-5 with one match remaining. NMMU's Kurt Adams and Prishen Ryan then sealed it by beating Nceba Ngcingwane and Sundy Naidoo 7-11 11-7 11-8 for a 6-5 win.
In the match against Aryan A, Dipal Bhana (Aryan) rescued his team by winning all his matches, ensuring an 8-3 victory.
In the first league, Malabar beat NMMU C 8-3, with Suresh Norman and Jayesh Ranchod winning all their matches. St Mark and St John had a comfortable 10-1 win over Aryan D, while the last match of the night saw an easy victory for NMMU B over Despatch, with Matthew Coombs and Philo Moodaley taking the varsity to a 9-2 result.
