WIND FARM CONTROVERSY
THE photographs used to illustrate the impact of the Blue Horizon Bay wind farm say it all. A disgrace! Does the wind not blow at Nkandla? I wonder how happy Mr President would be if he woke up to that view every day?
WIND farm eyesore: the reader pictures sent in do indeed make one pleased not to live in Blue Horizon Bay. It will affect property values of the comparatively wealthy home owners. I guess though the majority of locals, being the impoverished living nearby, who stand to benefit greatly from the required developers' development plans and profit share over its life span are delighted. So, which is the lesser evil?
VISUAL impact of turbines: Bob, seriously what is wrong with you? How can you be so worried by the visual aspect of the turbines when they could one day provide you with energy? I would wager that you won't complain when one day these magnificent inventions turn on your TV or charge your camera.
MR Bell, do you really think you and 299 people in the Eastern Cape are going to stop what is happening at the wind farm? No, I don't think so. We live in the Van Stadens area on the route to Blue Horizon Bay, to us it is a beautiful sight. All 300 of you have lost your last case, there are no ways you are going to win. Stop being childish, grow up. The planes at night fly over you like they do us and that makes a noise. Then think of the people in Humewood and Forest Hill. They should be complaining over flights and noise, not you.
WITH the wind turbines the signboards should now read "Blue/White Horizon Bay"!
REPLIES TO COMMENTS ON OTHER TOPICS
RIP old "Boet". May the tokoloshe come and haunt the b******s (who have stripped it).
TERRY Price, I'm sure you are an educated person. If you've got a PC (personal computer) I suggest you do some research on the internet into the current All Blacks, and see that most Pacific Island players either grew up or were born in NZ. Not snitched. Very uneducated response from you.

WATER CRISIS: FIX THE LEAKS
IT is not a week after I raised the Bay water crisis on your SMS comment line. What is frustrating is the NMBM is stepping up efforts to get residents to cut back on their water consumption instead of addressing the deterioration in the infrastructure because we are looking at a lot of water from leaks throughout the metro region. Initially they said leaks were at schools, but if you ride around the metro you are sure to see water leaks at regular intervals in not so far apart locations. Let me reiterate what I said in my previous SMS that unless the metro recruits a well trained and qualified hydraulic engineer the problem will grow to levels beyond crisis levels.
VERY CONCERNED RATEPAYER
THE Uitenhage indoor centre, which is a municipal run building, has had taps and urinals running non-stop for two years, yet they want us to save water.
STANFORD ROAD A MESS
PLEASE ask the metro or civil engineering contractor how can the deterioration of the main road to the northern areas be allowed? We are suffering in the traffic every morning! The traffic lights at Third Avenue have been off for six days now! There is no place for the emergency vehicles to reach the sick/accident victims! Send your photographers after 7am and see for yourselves how we have to bear this big mess!
WHY STUDY TO BE A TEACHER?
FEWER teachers? Why study to become one if no teaching jobs are available, or should I say fewer jobs. This country is really going to pieces. What's happening to the budget? Money for lesser things then kids' education.
PLENTY OF MATERIAL FOR CARTOONS
MARK Wiggett, you're a master sir! But you do have a lot to choose from, I must say.
