GREY High and the Zwartkops Rowing Club will be hosting several top Eastern Cape schools at the ZRC- Grey Heads Regatta on Saturday.
The regatta format will take place in the form of heads racing, which means that the crews will cross the start line in numerical order and will be individually timed over the course. There are no heats and medals will be awarded to the winners of each event.
The races will be over 1km, 2km and 5.6km distances. The u-15 events will be raced over the new 1000m "Henley" Stretch, alongside the village towards the mouth.
All the local rowing schools and clubs will be taking part in what should be a hotly contested regatta, including St Andrew's, Selborne, Grey High, Nemato, ZRC, Clarendon Girls and DSG.
There will be refreshments and food on sale.
The regatta starts at 9am and promises to be an exciting event.
