TWO men from North End are due to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court today for illegal possession of perlemoen.
They were arrested on Monday when 247 units of perlemoen – worth about R15000 – were found hidden in their Citi Golf as they were leaving the Schoenmakerskop area.
Port of entry police and the flying squad pulled the vehicle over while it was leaving Schoenmakerskop and found diving equipment and perlemoen inside.
The men, who can only be named after appearing in court, were held while police investigated.
Police confirmed that the men would appear in court today. – Gareth Wilson
